Common Problems & Solutions
The Page Is Not Refreshing
If RefreshLoop does not appear to be refreshing the page, check the following:
- Make sure RefreshLoop is running.
- Check that an interval has been selected.
- Confirm that the timer has started.
- Check whether the refresh limit has already been reached.
- Make sure the page is suitable for normal browser reloading.
Keyword Detection Is Not Stopping
Keyword detection depends on the configured text being present in the page content.
- Check the keyword spelling.
- Make sure the expected text actually appears on the page.
- Check whether the content loads dynamically.
- Try a keyword that is clearly visible in the page content.
Hard Refresh Not Working?
Some websites use dynamic content and caching systems that can affect how page updates appear.
- Enable the Hard Refresh option.
- Try refreshing the page normally first.
- Check whether the website loads content dynamically.
- Try the page again after adjusting your refresh settings.
Random Mode Not Behaving as Expected?
Random mode uses a minimum and maximum interval rather than one fixed refresh time.
- Check the minimum interval.
- Check the maximum interval.
- Make sure the values are configured as intended.
- Press Start after changing the settings.
Countdown Overlay Not Visible?
The Show Overlay option displays the refresh timer on the webpage.
- Make sure Show Overlay is enabled.
- Start the RefreshLoop timer.
- Check whether the current website allows the overlay to display normally.
Refreshing Stops When I Use the Page
RefreshLoop includes a Stop Timer on Page Interaction option. When enabled, interacting with the page can stop the timer.
- Check whether this option is enabled.
- Disable it if you want refreshing to continue during interaction.

RefreshLoop is a Chrome extension designed to automatically refresh webpages at a configured interval. It also provides options such as Random mode, Keyword Detect, Hard Refresh, Show Overlay, Refresh Limit, and Stop Timer on Page Interaction.
Fixed mode uses the interval you configure, such as 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 60 seconds, or another custom interval.
Random mode uses a minimum and maximum interval. The refresh timing can vary within the configured range.
The Fixed mode interface includes preset intervals such as:
- 5 seconds
- 10 seconds
- 30 seconds
- 60 seconds
- 2 minutes
- 5 minutes
- 10 minutes
- 15 minutes
You can also enter a custom interval in seconds.

Show Overlay displays a timer on the webpage. This allows you to see the refresh countdown directly on the page while RefreshLoop is running.
Hard Refresh is designed to bypass browser cache when reloading the page. It can be useful when you want the browser to request fresh page resources rather than relying on cached content.
Some websites use dynamic loading systems, so their behavior may differ from a traditional page reload.
Keyword Detect allows RefreshLoop to monitor page content for a configured keyword or phrase.
When the configured text is detected on the page, RefreshLoop can use that detection as the stopping condition for the refresh process.
Make sure the keyword is spelled correctly and actually appears in the page content you are monitoring.
First check the spelling of the keyword and confirm that the text appears on the webpage.
Some websites load content dynamically. If the expected text is generated or changed after the initial page load, detection behavior can depend on how that website renders its content.
Refresh Limit lets you specify how many refreshes should occur before the timer stops.
For example, if the limit is set to 5, the refresh process can stop after the configured number of refresh cycles.
There are several settings that can cause the refresh process to stop.
- A configured refresh limit may have been reached.
- Keyword detection may have detected the configured text.
- Stop Timer on Page Interaction may be enabled.
- You may have pressed the Stop button.
This option allows RefreshLoop to stop the timer when you interact with the webpage.
If you want the automatic refresh process to continue while interacting with the page, check whether this option is disabled.
The RefreshLoop interface includes Start, Pause, and Stop controls. Use the appropriate control depending on whether you want to temporarily pause the process or stop it.
Check that Show Overlay is enabled and that RefreshLoop has been started.
If the overlay still does not appear, try disabling and re-enabling the option and starting the refresh process again.
RefreshLoop is designed to work with webpages in Chrome, but individual websites can behave differently.
Websites that rely heavily on dynamic content, special navigation systems, or other browser restrictions may behave differently when automatically refreshed.
