Screenshot Not Capturing?
Make sure LocalSnap is enabled and try opening the extension again on the webpage.
Need to Edit a Screenshot?
Use the annotation tools to crop, blur, draw, highlight, add text, arrows, shapes, or other supported edits.
Can't Save Your Image?
Check your selected export format and make sure Chrome is allowed to download files to your device.
Quick Tip: If something does not work as expected, first reopen LocalSnap and try the same action again. Also make sure Chrome is updated and that you are using the latest available version of the extension.
Common Problems & Solutions
Screenshot Is Not Capturing
If LocalSnap does not capture the webpage as expected, check the following:
- Make sure the extension is installed and enabled.
- Open the extension while viewing the webpage you want to capture.
- Try the capture again after reopening LocalSnap.
- Check whether Chrome or the current page restricts extension functionality.
Full Page Capture Is Not Correct
Some webpages use unusual layouts, dynamic content, or continuously loading sections.
- Allow the webpage to finish loading.
- Try the Full Page capture again.
- If necessary, use Visible Part or Selected Area instead.
- Check whether the webpage changes while it is being captured.
Selected Area Is Not Working
Selected Area capture lets you choose a specific region of the webpage.
- Start Selected Area capture from LocalSnap.
- Click and drag across the area you want to capture.
- Make sure the selected region is large enough to capture.
- Try again if the selection was accidentally cancelled.
Blur Tool Is Not Applying
The Blur tool can be used to hide sensitive information inside a screenshot.
- Open the screenshot in the LocalSnap editor.
- Select the Blur tool.
- Apply the blur area to the information you want to hide.
- Make sure the blur area covers the required content.
Annotation Tools Are Not Visible
LocalSnap includes several editing and annotation tools for working with captured screenshots.
- Make sure a screenshot has been captured first.
- Open the screenshot in the editor.
- Check the available editing toolbar.
- Try reopening the captured image if the editor does not appear correctly.
Download or Copy Is Not Working
LocalSnap supports downloading screenshots and copying images to the clipboard.
- Check Chrome's download permissions.
- Make sure your device has sufficient storage space.
- Check that clipboard access is available when copying.
- Try downloading the screenshot instead of copying it.
